Hello Friends:

The Summer went by so quickly I can hardly believe it's almost over. I don't know about you, but I have been feeling a little melancholic as the season quickly comes to an end. I hope you have had a wonderful and relaxing Summer and is ready to welcome cooler days.

The month of August was super busy with lots of plein air paintouts and studio work, too. One of the many highlights this past month was traveling to Thurmont, MD, for their annual plein air festival. I also loved painting at a flower farm in Purcellville, VA; The Potomac River at Algonquian Park, VA; a private farm in Marshall, VA; a park by the Shenandoah River in Bluemont, VA; Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria, VA, and Eleanor Lawrence Park in Chantilly, VA. I feel so lucky to be able to paint at such beautiful locations en plein air!

The month of September promises, again, to be filled with fun art related activities. Aside from my twice-weekly plein air events, I am excited to go to Suffolk, VA for their annual Suffolk Plein Air Festival. I will also be painting in Falls Church, VA, for their Plein Air Festival in the second half of the month. Also in September, I am committed to painting every day from life and posting them on Instagram during the whole month, for the Strada September 30-day Challenge. I am stoked!

Lastly, this is the last chance to see the group exhibit in Washington, DC, at the American Painting Fine Art Gallery. I hope you can stop by the gallery if you find yourself in Washington DC.
